Introducing Three New Boutique Cigars

If you’re looking for some new flavor-packed cigars to add to your collection, we have three new boutique cigars that will surprise and delight your palate, including two puro blends.

“The word ‘puro’ is Spanish for ‘pure’ and in cigar lingo describes a cigar crafted from tobacco leaves from one country of origin,” says Buddy Williams, manager of M.A.’s Smoke House. “Two of the cigars featured in this review are puros from Nicaragua.”

The Romeo and Julieta 1875 Nicaragua

Origin: Nicaragua
Wrapper: Nicaraguan
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan

The Romeo and Julieta 1875 Nicaragua cigar is the newest stick from this well-loved brand. Manufactured in the Placencia factory in Nicaragua, the 1875 is a puro, which means it’s made of 100% Nicaraguan leaves.

The 1875 is dressed in a striking white and orange trimmed band, giving the cigar a modern look to balance its old world taste.

Medium-bodied and complex – but balanced – the 1875 delivers a toasty core with notes of spice and natural sweetness.

According to Cigar International, “This oily robusto burns evenly, showing a mostly woody character with touches of graham cracker, milk chocolate and caramel. The finish hints of spice.”

The Aging Room Maduro

Origin: Dominican Republic
Wrapper: Maduro
Binder: Dominican, Habano
Filler: Dominican

The Aging Room Maduro is a small batch work of art. Each limited edition blend is comprised of rare and exclusive tobacco leaves.

Every layer of tobacco leaves has been aged more than five years. The all-Dominican Habano filler and binder mix deliver a razor-sharp burn and distinctive notes of both chocolate and earthiness.

The stick’s wrapper is a dark, slightly oily, subtly spicy Nicaraguan Maduro, inspiring the name, ‘Aging Room Maduro.’

According to the website JR Cigars, “When lit, the cigar’s initial draw releases thick notes of chocolate, sweet ripe fruit and peppery spices that invigorate the senses and yet never overwhelms. Then the Maduro starts to settle down and eases you into a medium-bodied, earthy finish.”

The Aging Room Nicaragua Quatro

Origin: Nicaragua
Wrapper: Nicaraguan
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan

The Aging Room Nicaragua Quatro is a cigar crafted by two of the industry’s heavy weights: master blender Rafael Nodal and Altadis, USA, the company behind Romeo y Julieta, H. UPmann and Montecristo.

This puro cigar showcases all Nicaraguan tobacco leaves – from the wrapper to the binder and long-fillers, delivering a medium to full-bodied flavors that are peppery, zesty and rich.

Says Cigar International,  “An attractive, box-pressed torpedo that layers the palate with complex intonations of caramel, wood and toasted almond before a rich, chocolatey finish. A delicious cigar.”
