Rocky Patel was an entertainment and product liability lawyer in Los Angeles when he was first introduced to cigars. Instantly fascinated by them, it wasn’t long before Patel had his first line of cigars manufactured in Honduras and wowed everyone with his fresh ideas, bold packaging and fuller cigars.
According to Buddy Williams, manager of M.A. Smokehouse’s in Shreveport-Bossier, “Rocky Patel cigars have been our best seller for 15 years,” he said. “Manufactured in Honduras and Nicaragua and sold for less than $8.00 a stick, you can’t beat the quality and price of Rocky Patel cigars.”
Although there are a number of Rocky Patel cigar lines for sale at M.A.’s Smokehouse, Williams says the Edge series is most popular.
“We have the Edge Nick Habano, which is spiced with white pepper; the Edge Sumatra and Edge Maduro which are full-bodied with a sweeter, thicker smoke; and the Edge Corojo, an earthy medium-bodied cigar. There’s something for everyone in the Rocky Patel line of sticks.”
Rocky Patel cigars are known for their consistency, gained from strict quality control measures in the production process. In fact, at one time, Patel halved his production from 400-500 cigars per day to 250 just to focus on raising the quality of the cigar.
“If you’re looking for a special gift for a work colleague, friend or family member who is a cigar aficionado, you can’t go wrong with Rocky Patels,” says Williams. “Your biggest challenge will be only picking one.”
