For the fifth consecutive year, some of M.A.’s Smoke House’s best cigars were made available at the annual “Bourbon and Bowties” event on October 18.
Held on the Brown Estate in beautiful South Highlands, Bourbon and Bowties ticket holders enjoyed some cool autumn weather along with great food, beer, bourbon – and of course – some of M.A.’s Smoke House finest cigars.
Bourbon and Bowties originated in 2014 as a small invitation-only networking event held in the courtyard of Rhino Coffee. Each year, the event adds a new twist or two. Today, a ticket entitles you to grilled oysters, locally brewed craft beer, live music and an old fashioned bar. This year, sparkling wine was added to the menu.
And then, of course, there are the cigars.
“Each year, we bring some of our most popular cigars as well as those we think will pair nicely with the small batch bourbon selections served,” says Buddy Williams, manager of M.A.’s Smoke House of Shreveport-Bossier. “We always enjoy seeing our customers at the event as well as meeting new folks who want to try our cigars.”
