We’re excited to announce that we have three new cigars from the My Father brand: “The Judge Grand Robusto,” “La Gran Oferta,” and “La Opulencia Toro.”
“My Father is a well-known and trusted brand created by the Garcia family in Nicaragua,” said Buddy Williams, manager of M.A.’s Smoke House in Shreveport and Bossier City, Louisiana. “The Garcia’s are known for their skill of combining blends, wrappers and fillers to create cigars that never disappoint. We’re looking forward to introducing these three new cigars to our customers.”
Read on to see which of the three new My Father cigars you’d like to try first.
The Judge Grand Robusto
Filler: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Wrapper: Ecuador
“The Judge Grand Robusto” debuted in 2016 and is a big cigar with a bold personality. This cigar is crafted with an Ecuadoran Sumatra-seed wrapper, two Nicaraguan binders (Corojo and Criollo) as well as filler tobacco from three of the Garcia family farms.
“The Judge” is recommended for cigar enthusiasts who enjoy a thick, strong smoke. It produces high volumes of smoke with notes of chocolate and gingersnap paired with red pepper spice and nutty flavors.
But don’t take our word for it. Try one for yourself and let your palate be the judge!
La Gran Oferta
Wrapper: Ecuador Habano Rosado (Cuban seed)
Filler: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
La Gran Oferta, which literally means “The Big Offer,” features Cuban-seed binder, wrapper leaves from Ecuador Havana and filler tobaccos from the Garcia family farms. The cigars are rolled in Esteli, Nicaragua.
La Gran Oferta is a mild smoke offering flavors of dark chocolate, earth and cream oak with the signature spiciness that My Father blends are known for.
With five sizes of La Gran Oferta available, this stick is an offer you can’t refuse!
My Father La Opulencia Toro
Filler: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Wrapper: Mexico
Created for the smoker with elegant tastes, La Opulencia blends two luxurious tobaccos from well-known regions in Mexico and Nicaragua.
La Opulence features a wrapper in a dark Mexican San Andres that the company calls “Rosado Oscuro.” Underneath are two Nicaraguan binders – Corojo and Criollo. Finally, the filler is a combination of Cuban seed tobaccos grown by the Garcia family.
According to the website, Cigar Aficionado, “The tobaccos play off each other in interesting ways. The combustion is perfect, the draw offering earthy underpinnings of chocolate and cocoa with each puff, balanced by a mid-palate oakiness and sweeter, subtle top notes of anise and nougat. And this cigar evolves, getting stronger incrementally as the flavors gradually gain intensity. It’s another top effort from the Garcias, who have won Cigar of the Year two times.”
If you like your smokes elegant and luxurious, La Opulencia is the one for you.
