With Christmas just around the corner, have you thought about what you might give your favorite cigar or pipe smoker this year?
If not, Buddy Williams, manager of M.A.’s Smokehouse, has a few ideas that he thinks your smoker will appreciate.
- Travel Humidors
If your cigar afficiondo likes to take his sticks on the road, he will appreciate having his own travel humidor, which holds anywhere from five to 150 of his favorite sticks.
“To allow cigars to stay fresh, they need to be kept in an humidity-controlled environment of 72%,” says Buddy. “For this we recommend one of the XIKIR travel humidors, a plastic carrying case in models ranging from $30-$100.”
- Tabletop Humidors
If your cigar smoker is a homebody he might appreciate a tabletop humidor, which keeps cigars fresh and can also complement a room’s décor.
“Tabletops range from $40-$500,” says Buddy. “The more exotic the wood used in constructing the exterior case, the more expensive the humidor.”
- Torch Lighters
Torch lighters shoot a flame to light cigars. These range in price from $30-$100 with the higher end lighters offering more burners for a larger flame.
- Cigar Cutters
These cigar accessories are used to cut the cap off of a cigar. Made from steel, cigar cutters come in different designs and range in price from $45-$100.
- Italian Briar Basket Pipes
If your favorite pipe smoker is in need of a new pipe, consider one of the new basket pipes available at MA’s. Made of Italian Briar, these pipes retail for just $35.
“In order for a pipe smoker to keep his pipes from souring, it’s necessary to have several and to rotate them between smokes,” says Buddy. “You want to use your pipe, clean it, set it up and let it dry out so that it won’t sour. “
